The third Iron Man is over and everyone seemed to have a good time. If nothing else the level of painting and sportsmanship has risen once again. Dreamland Hobbies was nice enough to host us again and we are beginning to pack the store to the brim. We had six tables but with ten players we donated the sixth to the Warhammer Fantasy players that showed up.

Round One was the every loved Dawn Assault mission. With random pairing it usually has a wide spread in the final points, but since the scenario was won or lost by the amount of table quarters, most of the players pulled up ties.

Round Two put the players through the Recon Mission. The bloody carnage that followed showed was great and we say extreme points won and lost. It was this round that really broke up the players - you either won big or lost big, with nobody scoring in-between.

With time running short we cut the tournament to three games. Our last round was the In the Eye scenario (at the beginning of you move you could deep strike one unit already on the board instead of moving them normally, once during the game). Probably one of the hardest battles to fight most of the players pushed the clock to its end to determine the winner.

Robert won the much coveted Overall Trophy that Nick had made (immortalizing his heretic Guard once again). Grace won Best Sportsmanship (tight race for that award). Nick won the Best Appearance award (well deserved). Erik pull out Best Composition for his wonderfully designed Imperial Guard. Congrats to all the winners and a thanks to all the players. This was the best Iron Man so far and has definately raised the bar for next time.
