Games DAy has come and gone. Once again the LVGC made a spectacular showing. We had 4 tables this year with a total of 16 club volunteers. In addition, one of our club Outriders also attended and worked one of GW's Warhammer 40k tables.

The LVGC has certainly made a name for itself amongst the western games clubs. We had numerous friends from other clubs swing by to check out the games. We were flattered to hear that many of them were inspired by our tables last year to create new and amazing tables themselves. This was evident by walking through the clubs section. Overall I would say the club games were definitely on-par with any of the Games Workshop tables.

Squiggoth Stampede
Some of you may remember this game from last year. Probably our most popular table, this game is an all ages free-for-all.

Squiggoth Stampede is a loud Noisy FUN game. Ork racers from different clans struggle to control Great stupid Hairy Squiggoths in a race around the track. The winner is the first Clan to complete a lap in either direction! and claim the coveted Squig Cup! The rules are easy enough for an Ork to understand and the Squiggoths are suitably massive and suffer from a rich diet! Prizes will be provided for the winner of each race.

Space Hulk
Another game from last year, we could not resist bringing this monster back one more time. Definitely the most labor intensive table we've ever run, kudos goes out to the club members who were chained to this one all day.

Players take their Space Marine Terminators into a drifting Space Hulk in hopes of cleansing it from the menacing genestealers that are wont to inhabit such vessels. Soon they realize the infestation is much worse than they first suspected. Players who aren’t on top of the game could get quickly overrun by these terrible clawed beasts!

Stompa Smash
Brainchild of Nick Tompkins (creator of Squiggoth Stampede), Stompa Smash was alot of fun. Slightly more complicated rules means this one was geared more towards older kids than Squiggoth Stampede, but it was still a blast.

Orky Mayhem and Madness – on the Ork held world of BilongaUrgaz the Ork penchant for loud and noisy vehicles has reached a fever pitch. Clan teams of Mekaniaks have banded together to build Really Big Kans! Or Stompa’s as they are known. The Klans try to out do each other in demolition matches in the Morka Bowl arena. Last Klan standing is the Champion. Quick no holds barred free for all battle of Ork mayhem and destruction. Each player controils a Stompa representing one of the Ork Klans and strives to survive to be the Last Greenskin standing.

Nick Tompkins really gets excited about Stompa Smash.

Trollslayer's Doom
Our first Fantasy based game, Trollslayer's Doom rounded out the LVGC line-up.

Four teams rush their trollslayers headlong into a dungeon fraught with traps and monsters to prove their worthiness and die an honorable death. Dying in battle with monsters gives the team honor points, the more spectacular monsters the higher the points. The team with the highest points give honor back to their clan.
