Los Angeles Grand Tournament 2004 - (September 25-26)

Last Updated 10.03.04

The LVGC had 5 40k players and 1 Fantasy player this year. In addition, a few members who didn't not participate in the GT managed to make it for the Conflict event and to provide moral support.

Games Workshop did a smart thing this year by making the entry fee $89. There were over 100 players in each of the tournaments, making it the second largest GT in the country this year. On the 40k side very few armies stood out compared to 2002, and there seemed to be a heavy tendancy towards chaos. The Fantasy armies were much more impressive overall in terms of themes and conversions. The LVGC members who went were definitely inspired to do better for next year.

Out of the players who went this year, only Grace came home with an award, 2nd for Best Sportsman, from the tourney. Daniel Ortega, however, did bring home some awards in the painting competition at Conflict!
