Nick TompkinsJason Coffey is a second generation gamer, with a love for historical and hard science fiction genre's. He especially enjoys Victorian Era History (1850-1910) and Victorian Era Sci-Fi (Verne). He blames his father for his love of the "British Colonial" small wars of the time, but having Zulu and ALIENS as your favorite movies works out remarkably well. After all, Rogue Trader was loosely designed as British Colonials in space, with the Orks as Zulu's and the Space Marines as the British Army. Look at one of their first scenarios: Ork's Drift (re: Rouke's Drift).

Growing up on "Old Sci-Fi", he has always enjoyed Robert Heinlein's Starship Troopers. Later when the movies came out he collected the toys and used them with other rule systems. And of course he really enjoy's space gaming, so is a fan of Babylon 5: A Call to Arms as it is simple enough to actually find opponents for. All of these things made him an ideal candidate to work with Mongoose Publishing as a Games Demonstrator. Do you want to know more? You can email him at Jayce921@yahoo.com

He mostly enjoys the organization and logistics of the armies, and sometimes dabbles in strategy and tactics when point values and dice odds do not get in the way. His favorite part of the hobby is the conversion and assembly of figures, something he seems to spend more time doing that for others than painting his own collection! However, his least favorite part, is trying to figure out how to reorganize his armies based on changes to rules sets.

His philosophy on wargaming is that it's a social thing, not a contest of who has the most figures/points or the best paint jobs. He believes nothing is worse than having a "silver surfer" straight from the package squash your army. After all a wargame quality paint job, gets the job done just as well as a work of art. Mostly he is a CADD Draftsman/Designer by day, but at night he spends time with his family, working with Boy Scouts, doing American Civil War Reenacting, and occasionally designing spaceships. So many things to do, so little time!

Time permitting, he plays:
