After a varied and interesting set of deployments running the gauntlet between Iraq, Afghanistan, Djibouti, and other garden spots of human civilization (or lack thereof), Kirk ended up at Nellis AFB to be JTAC cadre at the Joint Air to Ground Operations Group.  His nickname, Sniper, is in reference to a half true half myth story about how, during an operation he was forced to bite a scorpion in half who had made the poor decision of crawling up his weapon's stock and obscuring his sight picture.  He would be happy to elaborate on the taste at anyone's request.

His first contact with GW products was the game "BattleMasters" which his dad brought home from England .  After destroying the goblin hordes with the inaccurate cannon, he found a GW store in Springfield , VA , and proceeded to amass an all Imperial force of IG, Space Marines, some Squats, and even some Grey Knights.  Then he moved.  And the IG SM and GK were all casualties of a military moving company (kind of like a tornado crossed with a cruise missile strike).

When he was assigned to Nellis he found a box containing a few marines and his box of Space Hulk terrain.  He was ecstatic and quickly found LVGC via the Games Workshop site.  After being destroyed by Nick's Orks AND his Wyches he was forced to rebuild his army into the shining (read, bare metal - but the Emperor's Champion DOES stand out right Robert?) force of BT based, chainsword wielding, assault marines that WILL eventually destroy the wyches.  As we know, the only thing you burn aside wyches is......MORE wyches.

He plays primarily 40k, but would love to branch out to other games...
